The muzzle is going to rise more with the Warden on. It is multi-caliber so I don't believe a slight jiggle would lead to a strike, and I have not heard of this issue from other users, but I guess if seriously neglected it might be possible(?).įor anyone curious as to whether or not the increased performance of the brake is negated with the Warden installed, it is.

I have almost no experience with suppressors so I'm not sure if this is normal when cans heat up, but that was one of the few negative impressions the Warden left on me. I did notice after 30-rounds of moderate fire and 30-rounds rapid fire, the Warden did loosen up slightly. With the Warden installed the paper was getting rocked. Without the Warden installed the paper target would flap a bit at 10yds, because most of the gas was being ported to the sides. The other very telling sign was the movement of the paper target. Standing next to the shooter inside the same shooting station after the Warden was applied was not an issue, whereas before it would nearly blow your ear-pro off the concussion was so bad. It sent the gasses straight out the front. I shot 100rds through the Warden this afternoon at an indoor range (intentional choice of setting) and the difference was remarkable. It is basically a hollowed out suppressor tube that captures all the escaping gases that would normally be ported vertically and horizontally and deflects it straight out in a narrow cone.

It cost me $150 from Arms Unlimited (I only mention the retailer because apparently the Warden is sold out in a lot of stores). It is a blast regulator made by SureFire. So a bit late to the party, but I stumbled upon The Warden.

Plus if I ever had to shoot the thing inside my home, I am fairly certain my eardrums would rupture. You can feel the concussion in your chest anywhere but directly behind the gun. I was in a combat trauma class and when I was providing covering fire for a guy applying a tourniquet to a simulated casualty, the concussion was making everyone's job more difficult. You immediately become 'that asshole' on the firing line at the range. It keeps the muzzle extremely flat when shooting long strings of fire, unless you're on your side it doesn't kick up as much dust as some comparable brakes, but damn it sucks inside or when shooting in close proximity to other people.

I can't speak highly enough about this brake. Two years ago I pieced together an AR, and welded to the end of my 14.5' barrel was a SureFire MB556K. I can now begin to piece together the friendships shattered by the concussion and loud report of my MB556K muzzle brake, thanks to the Warden.
